The journey to start Hearts of Godchildren's Hospice started on the 19 th of March 2002 . A freak accident at the National Arts Theater gave birth to Hearts of Gold. Meekest leg got booked with three major fractures. Hospitalized and facing an imminent amputation, l

Prayed to God and asked Him that if only He would save me and save my leg, l

Would woke for Him, with special emphasis on Disabled children, which is my area of work made a promise and quickly forgot to fulfill after l was healed but l was constantly reminded. God saved me, gave me the use do my leg again. Hearts of Gold came into being in fulfillment of my vow to God. Thank my creator for the Golden opportunity.

My relationship with people with mental disabilities dates back to March 1990, since then lave not looked back have had the opportunity of special Education with enchases on child red with challenging behavior especially children with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, dyslexia and other neurotically conditions associated with mental disabilities. I say thank you to God again for the opportunity to work and walk with these special children. Through them, l has learnt to be patient, humble and accept everything around me as equal.

Disability is nothing as these children are created by God. They are unique and should be treated so by society at large. Integration and equal rights should not be denied, they are disabled, which means they are there already, we think we are normal but the truth is we are more disabled than these children. Let us take way the stigma and replace it with unconditional love.

I thank God for the accident of March 19th 2000 ; it opened my eyes and ears to the wonderful work of God and my unquenchable thirst for His special children. Father, thank you for allowing me to love, live, work, walk, wine and dine with Societies REJECTS , they are my TREASURES . May I seize this opportunity to say thank you to the Hearts of Gold Children for allowing me into their unique and eventful life, also special thank you to our Patrons, Kwara State Government (My Beautiful Home State), sponsors volunteers i.e. Banks, Religious Bodies, Corporate Organizations, Students and Non-Governmental Organizations who have been supporting our hospice. OUR VISION

Hearts of Gold aspirations for the future are simply to continue to deliver quality service to our special children. We aim to be leaders in our field, providing expert palliative care in a serene and relaxing environment.

We will be looking at ways to improve our services from time to time, sharing and assisting medical professionals who are contributing to the ever increasing number of abandoned and orphaned children in our care.

To train and develop our staff especially in nursing and social care. We recognise the demand for children's hospices and we will be looking at innovative ways to develop and expand our services to reach and adapt to the ever growing needs of children with terminal illnesses
throughout our country, Nigeria.

In addition to the excellent facilities we already have, we hope to raise funds to provide the much needed learning and play resources to help in the delivery of qualitative services required for the benefit of our children.

Hearts of Gold services are provided free of charge. So We are entirely dependent on the generosity of individuals, organisations and companies for support. Thank you for supporting our home.

It is my privilege to serve and contribute my wealth of experience to the rehabilitation of abandoned orphaned and motherless children irrespective of their children of their conditions.
Every child deserve respect, unconditional love and care, whether able or disable, I believe that every child require a save home with or without a mother and father as long as love and attention is given.
